What Can Acupuncture Treat?

People come to have acupuncture for a wide variety of conditions. Some use acupuncture because they have a specific complaint, or they feel generally unwell. Others choose acupuncture simply to enhance there feeling of well-being.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommends that acupuncture should be made available as a cost-effective, short-term treatment  for the management of persistent non-specific back pain, nausea, dental pain, migraine and tension-type headache.

Acupuncture can help with pain such as to provide relief for specific conditions like osteoarthritis of the knee. People use acupuncture for a vast range of conditions.

Acupuncture is  considered suitable for all ages including babies and children. It can be used safely before and during pregnancy.  It can be used effectively alongside conventional medicines.
